This case has significant potential but suffers from critical design flaws. While visually appealing, it fails to account for the additional thickness of screen protector glass, which is problematic. With the protector installed, the glass sits flush with the aluminum bezel, making it prone to scratches and cracks during everyday use. Other cases mitigate this risk by incorporating a deeper screen recess to provide better protection.

More concerning is the lack of durability in the event of a drop. Even slight warping of the outer bezel causes the back panel on the camera side to detach repeatedly. The design relies solely on a minimal interference fit to secure the back panel, with no robust retention mechanism. This flaw could have been addressed by sandwiching the back panel between the bezel pieces and using the existing magnets for added security. While I was able to restore partial functionality by realigning the warped bezel, the fit remains imperfect, and the issue persists. These oversights undermine an otherwise well-crafted case, highlighting the need for a more thoughtful and resilient design.

I, on a whim, wanted a heavier aluminum case. I’m pretty sure this case is all aluminum…whatever though, it’s great. Fit is perfect.
